Short Story Writing Workshop: 2/26 & 2/27, 10 am to 12 noon.
Tuesday 2/26 & Wednesday 2/27
10 am to 12 noon.
Students can expect to write from written prompts, verbal prompts and visual images. The workshop is interactive. It includes discussions as well as participants reading aloud from what they have written. The environment I like to create in the workshop is one where students feel confident about their writing. It is always my hope that students will continue to write after they have completed the workshop.
Instructor Bio - Natasha Nargis
I have always written - sometimes fiction - sometimes non-fiction. My degree is in journalism. More than 10 years go I began teaching a class at Santa Fe Community College/Continuing Education that focused on writing for the mass media. Gordon Fluke, the director of Continuing Ed at the time, asked if I would like to teach a short story class. I said yes, and found that I enjoyed teaching short story more than journalism - perhaps because my students enjoyed it so much. After opening my gallery in December of 2016, I decided to teach the class at the gallery.
Registration deadline is February 22, 2019. We reserve the right to cancel the workshop by this date due to lack of enrollment. Should this occur you will receive a 100% refund.
